The Alachua County Sheriff's Office encourages citizens to get involved by volunteering to help their community through the Reserve Program. Citizens can participate in helping the program grow and expand by one of two methods. They can either directly participate by applying to undergo training to become a Reserve Deputy, or they can participate by assisting the Sheriff's Reserve Association, Inc. ( a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity) in raising tax deductible cash or "in kind" donations which are used to train & equip Reserve Deputies. For information on how to assist the Sheriff's Reserve Association charity, click the "donate now" at the bottom of this page. If you have the time & inclination to get directly involved as a Reserve Deputy, the Alachua County Sheriff's Office is seeking community-minded men and women who will continue with their chosen careers, while volunteering to serve and protect our community as part-time and full-authority Deputy Sheriffs. Service as a Reserve Deputy will offer you training, challenge, excitement, teamwork, opportunities for special assignments and promotion, excellent benefits and significant personal rewards. You will become a member of a very special organization built upon honor, tradition, service, courage and commitment.   |
